| | Szia ! Remélem kellemesen telt a hétvégéd.

Evita is a musical production, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. It concentrates on the life of Argentine political leader, Eva Perón, the second wife of Argentinean president, Juan Perón. The story follows Evita's early life, acting career, rise to power, charity work, feminist involvement and eventual death.
Evita began as a rock opera concept album released in 1976. Its success led to productions in London's West End in 1978, and on Brodway a year later, both of which enjoyed considerable success. A major 1996 film of the musical was made, starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas. The musical was revived in London in 2006. Evita has been given numerous professional tours and worldwide productions, and numerous cast albums have been recorded. |
... BUT WHO WAS EVITA? María Eva Duarte de Perón (May 7, 1919– July 26, 1952) was the second wife of Argentine President Juan Perón. She was first lady from 1946 until she died in 1952 and she served with her husband as a co-ruler of Argentina during those years. Before she died the Congress made her Spiritual Leader of the Nation. She worked as an actress before she married Peron. By the time of her death, she was one of the most powerful women, or maybe even the most powerful woman, in the world. She is known for her work in many charitable and feminist causes, and became an icon to many people in Argentina. Evita was President of the Peronist Women's Party, a big and powerful political party made up of women who supported the Perons' party. She ran the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Health. The Eva Peron Foundation gave a lot of money and other things to the poor. The poor liked Evita Peron a lot. Her life inspired both a musical and a movie called Evita. When she died of cervical cancer, her corpse was embalmed. After her husband was overthrown, her body was lost for almost 20 years, until it was found in Italy. It was brought back to Argentina and buried with her husband after he died in 1974. It was brought back by the President, a woman named Isabel Perón, who was married to Juan Perón years after Eva's death. lyrics – dalszöveg to concentrate on ... – valamire koncentrál political leader – politikai vezető rise to power – hatalomra kerülés charity work – jótékonykodási munka eventual – végleges, végső released – kiadott considerable – jelentős co-ruler – társelnök spiritual leader – szellemi vezető charitable – jótékonysági party – politikai part
