Number 5: Odeon of Herodes Atticus. A unique stone theater dating back to the second century. It seats up to 5,000 people and even today you can enjoy a concert here.
Number 4: The Changing of the Guard. Every hour visitors can witness a ceremony that involves the changing of the guard. It takes place by the tomb of the unknown soldier.
Number 3: Parliament Building. A beautiful neo-classical structure that was built in 1843. Formerly a residence of monarchs, today it houses country’s parliament.
Number 2: Plaka. It is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Athens. It’s winding roads with historical mansions and ambiance are a big draw for visitors.
