Mary and George are in the kitchen. They are preparing breakfast and talking about George’s parents, Susan and John, who live in Canada.
George:My mother called yesterday. They want to buy a farm. They want to have a farm.
Mary:Susan and John? A farm? Really? Why?
George:Now, that they are pensioners, they want to have a vegetable garden and some fruit trees. They also want to have some animals.
Mary:That’s interesting … what kind of animals do they have now?
George:They want to have cows for milk, pigs, chickens, ducks for meat, and also some sheep, rabbits, horses and goats.
Mary:Well, that must be a large farm to have all those animals there.
George:Yes, I wish them all the best. I hope they’ll have a nice, quiet life there.
