Ehhez a LIKE igét használjuk, amely nem összekeverendő a WOULD LIKE kifejezéssel, amely azt jelenti, hogy valaki szeretne valamit, vagy szeretne csinálni valamit. Nézzük is meg a különbséget, és tanuljuk meg mindkettőt.
Like VS would like
Jessica and Alice are in the living-room and they are talking about Alice’s Italian course. The lessons start at 8:30 a.m every morning and finish at 2:30 p.m. Students don’t have lessons at weekends. They have free time at weekends.
Alice:I’m really looking forward to taking part in this language course in Italy.

Jessica:How many lessons do you have a day?

George:You know I don’t like eating too much in the evening, so I would like some chicken salad, please.
Mary:… and what about you, Jessica? What would you like to eat? Would you like some roast chicken or I can prepare you a sandwich, too.
Jessica:Thanks, Mom. I like chicken, but now I prefer a sandwich. I would like a sandwich, please.
