5 Perc Angol TV - Episode 40

It’s 9 o’clock in the morning, and George Smith is in his office. He is waiting for Michael Cork, a strange but funny person from Ireland. Michael Cork is a teacher, and he wants to work in George Smith’s language school, too. George is interviewing Michael for the job at the moment.
George Smith: Good morning Michael, how are you today?
Michael Cork:Good morning Mr Smith. I’m fine thanks … and you? How do you feel today?
George Smith: Everything is fine, thank you. So, you want to be a teacher at the language school, don’t you?
Michael Cork:Yes, I would like to be a teacher here. Can I work here, too?
George Smith:Well, first of all, I would like to ask you a few questions.
Michael Cork:Of course.
George Smith:We are open every day, except Sunday. Can you teach every day?
Michael Cork: Yes, I don’t have another job at the moment, so I can teach every day,
George Smith:… and can you teach very early in the morning?
Michael Cork:What do you mean early? What time?
George Smith:The first lesson starts at 7 am. Can you start at 7 am?
Michael Cork:That’s not a problem. I can start at 7 am.
George Smith:Oh, that’s great. … and what about children? Can you teach children as well?
Michael Cork: Yes, I love children, and I can also teach children. Do you have classes for children?
George Smith:Yes, we have a course for children that starts next week.
Michael Cork:I can take this course.
It’s 7 o’clock in the morning, and the Smith family is having breakfast. George and Jessica are at the table. Alice is still sleeping in her room. Coffee is ready! Mary arrives with a tray with coffee, sugar and milk on it.
Mary:Good morning! How did you sleep darling?
Jessica:Thak you Mum. I slept well, I’m just a bit tired.
George:… and what about you dear? Did you sleep well?
Mary:Yes, I am fresh and full of energy! Can I pour you some coffee?
George:Yes, thank you … and can you pass me the sugar, too?
Mary:Certainly, here it is … Jessica, what would you like to eat?
Jessica:Just a slice of toast … and Mom, can you pass me the butter, too?
Mary:Here you go, dear.
George:Mary, can you please pass me the orange juice? I’m thirsty.
Mary:Anything else, George?
George:No, just the orange juice is fine. Thank you, Mary!
