Jammy waffles

Toast 12 waffles, allow to cool slightly, then spread with raspberry jam. Make 4 stacks of three; add a dollop of ice cream and fresh raspberries.

Mini jam cakes

Remove the centres of 6 store-bought vanilla cupcakes. Fill the cavities with a little jam. Whip 1⁄2 cup of cream until stiff and stir through 2 tbsp raspberry jam. Spread the cream onto the cupcake and serve immediately.

Raspberry Jam Tart

Line 4 x 8cm tart bases with shortcrust pastry. Mix together 3⁄4 cup raspberry jam, 1 cup desiccated coconut and 2 tbsp melted butter. Spoon the filling into tart bases, cover with latticed strips of shortcrust pastry, sprinkle with poppy seeds and bake at 180oC for 20 minutes. Serve with extra cream and jam.

Jam hearts

Whisk together 100g softened butter, 125g castor sugar and 1⁄2 tsp vanilla extract. Add 1 egg, beat again and sift in 220g self-raising flour and a pinch of salt. Allow dough to rest in the fridge for 30 minutes, then roll out, cut out 26 heart shapes, and then 13 small hearts out of the centre of half the cookies. Bake at 160oC for 15–20 minutes, remove from oven and allow to cool. Spread jam on 13 of the solid biscuits and top with the cut-outs.

Pierce Brosnan has declared he doesn’t get angry.

The GoldenEye actor, 69, who has used painting to channel his grief over the cancer deaths of his first wife Cassie and daughter Charlotte, said he also meditates to keep himself balanced.

‘I don’t get angry. I could get angry – but where would that anger go? There would be no point,’ he said in a new interview.

The actor was left devastated when his first wife Cassandra Harris, who he married in 1980, died 13 days after her 43rd birthday after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer – the same disease that killed her mum.

She had three children – Charlotte and Christopher, by Dermot Harris, the brother of actor Richard Harris – before she married Pierce, and then son Sean with the 007 actor.

Pierce adopted Charlotte and Christopher and was again left heartbroken when Charlotte also died from ovarian cancer in 2013 aged 42.

Lily was a girl who lived in a small town by a beautiful lake. The town was surrounded by hills and forests and she loved to take long walks in the woods. One sunny day, she decided to go on a hike with her dog, Max.

As they were walking through the forest, they crossed a small stream and walked along the edge of a meadow. They saw a group of butterflies in the sunshine and a family of rabbits playing in the grass.

Lily noticed that the flowers were beginning to bloom. She stopped to smell the sweet fragrance of the flowers and listen to the chirping birds.

Suddenly, Max started barking and ran off into the bushes. Lily was worried that he might be in danger, so followed him quickly. She saw that Max had found a baby deer that was lost and alone and obviously, it didn’t know how to get back to its family. Max was barking at the baby deer, but Lily could see that he was trying to protect it.

Lily approached the baby deer slowly, and it didn’t seem to be afraid of her. She felt that she had to help the baby deer and get it back to its family, so she carefully picked it up and carried it back to her house. She put it in a box with some soft blankets. She gave it some water and some leaves to eat. Then she called a local wildlife rescue centre, and they came to take care of the little deer. They told Lily that they would take care of the deer until it was ready to be sent back into the forest.
