Wife: I can’t believe that next week it’s going to be our wedding anniversary again. In addition, it’s the 25th already. Time flies so fast….
Husband: Oh, yes. I still remember the day when we got married. It was a bright, sunny spring day and you were a beautiful bride. You haven’t changed much during the years. I see you just as beautiful as on the day of our wedding.
Wife: It’s very flattering to hear that from you but when I look into the mirror I see something else. We are not so young any longer.
Husband: Believe me you’re beautiful inside and out. And you know, I’d like to celebrate our wedding anniversary in a special way this year. I know you’ve always wanted to have dinner in a first class restaurant but have never had the chance, yet. So I’d like to invite you out for a special date. Dinner first, then a movie and we can spend the night in a nice hotel.
Wife: You mean to spend a second honeymoon with me?
Husband: Well, not exactly a honeymoon, but it will be good to spend some special time with you. Without the kids and all our everyday responsibilities.
Wife: Have you chosen the restaurant and the hotel yet?
Husband: No, the choice is yours.
Wife: You know I‘ve always wanted to try that nice Renaissance restaurant downtown where the waitresses are dressed in period dresses and they serve fabulous food. As for the hotel, I’ll choose Hotel Evergreen.
Husband: And what about the movie?
Wife: ‘Shakespeare in Love’ – my favourite film. It’s usually on in one of the smaller cinemas.
Husband: O.K. It’s a deal. I’m looking forward to the day.
