Bosnian builds rotating house so that his wife has diversified view

Seeking to please his wife who had wished for a more diversified view from their family house, a Bosnian self-taught innovator has built a rotating house, allowing her to watch a rising sun in one moment and passers-by in the next.

“I’ve got tired of her complaints and frequent refurbishing of our family house and I said: I’ll build you a rotating house so you can spin it as you wish,” Vojin Kusic, 72, told Reuters, standing in front of his new house that attracts the attention of visitors.

Situated on a fertile plain in northern Bosnia near the town of Srbac, the house spins around a 7-metre axis designed by Kusic, with the view of cornfields and farmland changing to forests and the river at a desired speed.

“The house can make a full circle for 24 hours when it’s at the slowest speed, while at the fastest spinning it can make a full circle in 22 seconds,” Kusic said.

The project took six years to finish, except time off for a hospital stay due to a heart condition. The house is more resistant to earthquake damage than stationary houses, he said.

Breaking news – Archie-nak kistestvére lesz! – szókincsfejlesztő lecke. https://www.5percangol.hu/news_of_the_world/breaking-news-archie-nak-kistestvere-lesz-szokincsfejleszto-lecke/ Mon, 15 Feb 2021 06:10:13 +0000 https://cmsteszt.5percangol.hu/uncategorized/breaking-news-archie-nak-kistestvere-lesz-szokincsfejleszto-lecke/ The news comes after the Duchess of Sussex revealed she had a miscarriage last July.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their second child together, the couple announced on Sunday. The baby will be the younger sibling to the couple’s son Archie Harrison, who will turn 2 on May 6.

“We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child,” a spokesperson for the couple told PEOPLE.

Meghan and Harry announced their pregnancy news with a stunning black-and-white photo that was taken remotely via iPad by their friend and longtime photographer, Misan Harriman. A smiling (and barefoot!) Harry looks lovingly at Meghan, who cradles her baby bump as she lays in his lap.

The happy news — which they shared on Valentine’s Day — comes after Meghan, 39, revealed she suffered a miscarriage last July. “Losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable grief, experienced by many but talked about by few,” she wrote in a searingly honest and heartbreaking New York Times essay on November 25.

Meghan and Harry, 36, officially stepped down from their roles as senior royals last year. Their desire to have a normal family life played a role in their groundbreaking decision. A palace source previously told PEOPLE that by the time of Archie’s birth, “they knew they were going to hit the nuclear button” on their royal exit.

When Archie was born, the couple’s focus shifted even more to “doing what’s right for their family,” added another friend.

Meghan, who won her privacy and copyright infringement case against Associated Newspapers on Thursday, and Harry have hinted about expanding their family. In the summer of 2019, the Duke of Sussex revealed that he and his wife wanted a “maximum” of two children.

The couple has been settling into life in their new home of Montecito after moving to California in mid-March. They have been quietly focused behind the scenes on further developing their new foundation Archewell amid the rapidly changing social landscape. Given the massive upheaval from both the COVID-19 pandemic and the racial justice movement sparked by the killing of George Floyd, Meghan and Harry have refocused their efforts.

The new parents have been “over the moon” since welcoming baby Archie, and their new addition will only add to their happiness.

“It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the best two guys in the world, so I’m really happy,” Meghan said soon after Archie’s birth in 2019. “He’s just been a dream.”

Harry added, “It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagine. [We look forward to spending] precious times with him as he slowly, slowly starts to grow up.”

The family of three made their official royal tour debut when they traveled to Africa together in the fall of 2019. During Archie’s first outing, Meghan shared her sweet nickname for her son: Bubba.

To celebrate Archie’s milestone first birthday last May, Meghan baked a smash cake, while Prince Harry took point on the festive decor.

The small celebration also included video chats with loved ones. “They Zoomed with godparents, friends and family and had a really simple but incredibly joyous day,” a source told PEOPLE.

Added a friend, “Meghan is so chill and relaxed as a mom.”

Prince Harry has been embracing family time amid the ongoing pandemic.

“There’s a hell of a lot of positives that are happening at the same time and being able to have family time — so much family time — that you almost think, ‘Do I feel guilty for having so much family time?’ ” he shared. “You’ve got to celebrate those moments where you are just on the floor rolling around in hysterics. Inevitably, half an hour later, maybe a day later, there’s going to be something that you have to deal with and there’s no way you can run away from it.”

Stanley Tucci olaszországi kulináris show-ja – szókincs, videó, hallás utáni szövegértéses feladat https://www.5percangol.hu/nyelvvizsga_erettsegi_feladatok/stanley-tucci-olaszorszagi-kulinaris-show-ja-szokincs-video-hallas-utani-szovegerteses-feladat/ Sun, 14 Feb 2021 15:26:57 +0000 https://cmsteszt.5percangol.hu/uncategorized/stanley-tucci-olaszorszagi-kulinaris-show-ja-szokincs-video-hallas-utani-szovegerteses-feladat/ Stanley Tucci Will Host His Own Culinary Travel Show on CNN

The Golden Globe-winning actor will be taking a four-episode food tour of Italy.

Stanley Tucci may not be the best-known name in Hollywood (I’m not making that assumption, Saturday Night Live did a whole sketch about it). But you’ve definitely seen Stanley Tucci. Beyond The Hunger Games and The Devil Wears Prada, he has over 100 acting credits to his name. He also has some legit culinary cred: In 1996, he wrote, directed, and starred in Big Night, a movie about two brothers running an Italian restaurant. He’s co-owned a restaurant himself and published cookbooks including The Tucci Cookbook and The Tucci Table. Now, the typically supporting actor will have a starring role on the small screen: hosting his own culinary documentary series for CNN.

Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy is slated to be a four-part original CNN series following the actor on a food tour of Italy. According to Deadline, which broke the news yesterday, “The series will see Tucci travel to a number of very different regions in the country and he will also look at the history of the food, for instance, looking at how wealth and poverty impacted on the cuisine culture in Florence, Tuscany. He will also visit Rome, Sicily and Milan to gain a better understanding of the history, culture and people. Tucci will taste every piece of pasta, drink every glass of wine, and discover what makes Italy and its cuisine so irresistible.”

“This was a passion project and love letter to the place where my family is from.” Tucci was quoted as saying. “I am thrilled to be working with CNN on this project as an admirer of their reporting and original series, which are incredibly smart, compelling, and beautifully produced.”

Meanwhile, Amy Entelis, executive vice president of talent and content development for CNN reinforced that Tucci is the perfect man for the job. “We started talking to Stanley and quickly realized that Italy and Italian food was a tremendous passion of his,” she explained to Deadline. “He wanted to explore the stories and people behind the food of Italy. He’s a wonderfully appealing actor and he brought that passion to the subject.”

Dog owners issued urgent warning ahead of Christmas in bid to avoid harm to pets

Experts have warned people to keep an eye on their dogs and be careful they do not eat some foods – including chives, cakes and mulled wine – that may be harmful to them

Dog owners across the UK have been urged to take care during the festive period to avoid harm to their pets.

Experts have warned people to be vigilant and keep an eye on their dogs to make sure they do not eat some foods that may be harmful to them.

These include chocolate and raisins, but also other festive items such as onions and chives which could cause severe sickness in canines.

Posting on Twitter, the Dogs Trust Manchester page shared a warning and a list of festive products to keep away from your pooch over the Christmas period, the Manchester Evening News reports.

If your dog ends up eating any of the foods or drinks included on the list, it could end up really poorly, so it is important to make sure you know what to keep away from your furry friend.

Here’s Dogs Trust Manchester’s top tips for what to avoid this Christmas:

Ensure human treats are out of sight, reach and smell

Don’t let your dog eat: Christmas cake, Christmas pudding, mince pies or chocolate

Don’t let your dog drink: Drinking chocolate, mulled wine or any alcohol

Avoid onions, leeks, garlic, shallots and chives. These cause diarrhoea, vomiting and damage to red blood cells

Watch out for holly berries and mistletoe. These cause vomiting, diarrhoea and lethargy

Tails.com head vet Sean McCormack previously warned: “It’s important to be cautious about the treats you give to your dog both over Christmas and throughout the year, to make sure you avoid giving harmful foods and so your dog doesn’t pile on the pounds.

“It’s amazing how much we underestimate the calories in the ‘harmless’ treats we give our pets.

“Giving a small dog a single sausage can be the equivalent of us eating up to three cheeseburgers.

“To treat your dog in a healthy way at Christmas, stick to lean, cooked meat and healthier Christmas table staples like carrots and green beans.”

Panna Cotta with Raspberry- Igazi olasz panna cotta málnával – RECEPT SZÓSZEDETTEL https://www.5percangol.hu/receptek/panna-cotta-with-rapeberry/ Sun, 30 Aug 2020 13:09:30 +0000 https://cmsteszt.5percangol.hu/panna-cotta-with-rapeberry/

Panna cotta (in Italian it means cooked cream) is an Italian dessert made by simmering together cream, milk and sugar, mixing this with gelatine, and letting it cool until set. It is generally from the Northern Italian region of Piedmont, although it is eaten all over Italy, where it is served with wild berries, caramel or with chocolate sauce. Somewhat similar versions of this dish are found in Greece, France and Finland, too.

Ingredients for the raspberry jelly (serves 8):

– 420 g (3 cups) fresh or frozen raspberries

– 162 g (2/3 cup + 1 tablespoon) caster sugar

– 2 teaspoons lime juice

– 3 teaspoons unflavoured powdered gelatine

Preparation:

1. In a medium saucepan bring raspberries and sugar and lime juice to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat, simmer about 10 minutes until raspberries are soft and have released their juices, remove from heat.

2. Press raspberry mixture through a fine sieve into a small bowl and discard solids.  Pour raspberry juice into a large liquid measuring cup filling to 590 ml (2½ cups).  If there isn’t enough juice to fill to 590 ml (2½ cups) top up with water.

3. Sprinkle gelatine over 80 ml (1/3 cup) cold water in a small bowl. Allow gelatine to soften for 5 minutes.

4. Transfer raspberry juice to small saucepan and heat juice over low heat until warmed through.

5. Add softened gelatine and stir until gelatine is dissolved.  Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

6. Divide evenly among dessert cups and refrigerate to set gelatine for 1 hour.

Ingredients for the panna cotta (serves 8):

– 830 ml (3½ cups) whole milk

– 237 ml (1 cup) heavy cream, 35%

– 169 g (¾ cup) caster sugar

– 1 vanilla bean, split and seeded

– 14 g (2 tablespoons) unflavoured powdered gelatine

– Fresh raspberries, to garnish

– Fresh mint, to garnish

Preparation:

1. Bring milk, cream, sugar, vanilla bean and seeds to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat, cover and allow vanilla to infuse, 20 to 30 minutes.

2. Prepare an ice water bath.

3. In a small bowl sprinkle gelatine over 80 ml (1/3 cup) water.  Allow gelatine to soften for 5 minutes.

4. Return milk mixture to stove and reheat mixture over low heat until warmed through.

5. Add softened gelatine mixture to milk mixture. Stir until gelatine has completely dissolved, about 5 minutes.

6. Pour mixture through a fine sieve into a bowl.  Set bowl over ice water bath, stirring occasionally, until cool but not set.  Remove from water bath.

7. Spoon panna cotta mixture, evenly dividing between dessert cups, over top raspberry jelly layer. Refrigerate to set panna cotta for 2 to 4 hours.

8. To serve, top each parfait with fresh raspberries and a sprig of mint or a bit of chocolate.

Grape Cheesecake https://www.5percangol.hu/receptek/grape-cheesecake/ Sat, 08 Oct 2016 19:54:06 +0000 https://cmsteszt.5percangol.hu/grape-cheesecake/

Serves: 10-12
Calories: 372
Fat: 15g
Saturated fat: 15g
Suitable for freezing: no

For the base:

  • 200g digestive biscuits
  • 100g butter

For the topping:

  • 4 leaves gelatine
  • 300g carton full-fat cream cheese
  • Finely grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
  • 397g can condensed milk
  • 250g grapes, red and green, halved

For decoration:

  • Extra grapes, halved
  • Sprigs of mint
  • 20cm round, loose-bottomed cake tin, lined with baking parchment

1. To make the base: Crush the biscuits and mix with the butter. Tip it into the cake tin and press down in an even layer. Chill until set.

2. To make the topping: Soak the gelatine leaves in a bowl of cold water (the amount of water isn’t important). Beat the cream cheese with the lemon rind and juice until smooth then beat in the condensed milk. Lift the gelatine out of the water and squeeze out the excess moisture, then melt it, either in a microwave oven or in a bowl over a pan of hot water. Pour this into the cheese mixture, and mix it in very quickly before it sets.

3. Spoon about half the mixture over the base and then scatter over the grapes. Spoon the rest of the mixture over the top and level the surface. Chill the cheesecake in the fridge for a few hours, or overnight, until it’s set.

4. To serve, slide it out of the cake tin onto a serving plate and peel away the baking parchment. Decorate with more grapes and a few sprigs of mint.

Elephant Baby Born After 52 Years in Budapest Zoo https://www.5percangol.hu/news_of_the_world/elephant-baby-born-after-52-years-in-budapest-zoo/ Mon, 25 Feb 2013 12:32:40 +0000 https://cmsteszt.5percangol.hu/elephant-baby-born-after-52-years-in-budapest-zoo/ The baby was born on February 14, a perfect Valentine’s Day present for the zoo. Especially because the last such joyous event in Budapest took place in 1961. The baby and mother, the twelve-year-old Angele of La Palmyre Zoo, are well, although it is uncertain whether the nurturing of the baby elephant will go without problems. The keepers are monitoring if the baby is feeding well and if the mother is looking after her young properly. This is Angele’s first offspring, and she cannot be considered experienced in caring for her baby. The estimated height of the baby is one meter and weighs approximately 85 kilograms. Father of the baby, the thirteen-year-old Assam of Chester Zoo, for a time being has to stay out of spotlight.

“To ensure that nothing disturbs the peace and quite of the animals, we closed off the Elephant House from the outside world almost hermetically. Hence, the public may not view yet the animals living here, and even among the staff of the Zoo, only keepers and veterinarians specifically assigned to care for the elephants may enter the restricted area,” announced a Budapest Zoo spokesperson.

If the baby is feeding with reassuring frequency and the mother’s behavior remains normal, the public will be allowed to visit the Elephant House. Depending on the development of the elephant baby, competent staff of the Zoo will determine when the elephants will be displayed again.

The newly born Valentine’s Day calf already suckles milk from its mother’s breast in the Budapest Zoo. This is very important since the baby did not succeed at first and could only get the essential milk with human help. In the first 24 hours the baby did not find its mother’s breasts at all, therefore caregivers and veterinarians milked the elephant mom called Angele and fed the baby elephant with the extracted milk. Since then such feeding happened more times and fortunately it turned out that the baby can be called to the nursing bottle.

The fate of the little elephant has been followed by many in recent days. People have asked information about its condition and hoped that everything would turn out ok. The Zoo still asks for the patience of the visitors: the Elephant House remains closed as long as calm environment is required for the mom and her baby.

In the history of the Budapest Zoo and Botanic Garden five elephant calves were born, the last one on May 10 in 1961. Since then in the past half century, however not a single Asian elephant was born in Hungary until now.
