Here are 10 shocking toys.

It’s unlikely that toy manufacturers mean to offend, creep out, or otherwise alienate consumers, but somehow it happens from time to time.

Here are 10 shocking toys.

Number 10. Oreo Fun Barbie. Everybody loves Oreos, so what could possibility go wrong? Well, it appears that in planning the black version of the doll, Mattel fell short on their research. Oreo is a pejorative term often used to describe black people who act white. The doll was eventually recalled.

Number 9. Breast Milk Baby. Thanks to carefully placed sensors, the toy can tell when it’s near the body of the child playing with it, and will start to make sucking noises. It’s intended to simulate the breast-feeding experiences, but what it does is freak a lot of parents out.

Number 8. Poo-dough. Some kids like gross stuff, and this was made with them in mind. Although the modeling clay looks like excrement, its realism thankfully doesn’t extend to its smell.

Number 7. Barbie’s Pregnant Friend. Her name was Midge and she was on the verge of giving birth. Delivery was easy enough. All one had to do was pull off her enlarged belly and pluck out the little plastic newborn.

Number 6. Breaking Bad Dolls. Walter White and Jesse Pinkman make for great television, but a number of parents didn’t think they made appropriate children’s toys. After a petition demanding the figures’ removal from Toys R Us collected over 9 thousand signatures, the store did as requested.

Number 5. Toy Tattoo Gun. Apparently nobody wants their grade-schooler coming home with a tattoo, even if it’s fake. This make-believe parlor, complete with temporary ink, designs, and an inspired-by-real-life tool didn’t get the favorable reception the company was likely anticipating.

Number 4. Pee and Poo Plush. The company that sells them describes the urine and feces set as, ‘the only time you’ll want pee and poo in your bed’. They also suggest cuddling up with them.

Number 3. iPotty. As the name suggests, there’s no reason for your kids to be away from their iPad even when they are taking care of business.

Number 2. Hazmat Crew. This might look like a fun little addition for a child’s make believe town. The good times will no doubt end quickly when the kid starts asking what crews like that do and why they’re needed.

Number 1. Shocking Roulette. If the goal is to make children nervous, crying wrecks, then this should do it. Players stick their fingers inside the game device and sit there until a shock is delivered to one of them.

Which toy are you most surprised by?

‘Normal Barbie dolls’ set to hit toy shop shelves after successful crowdfunding campaign

A more realistic Barbie could soon be winging her way to a toy shop near you. The ‘Lammily’ doll is based on the average measurements of a 19-year-old woman and will wear a more casual wardrobe than what fans are usually used to. Out are the frilly dresses, heels and crop tops and in are denim, trainers and gym gear.

The in-proportion doll is the brainchild of artist Nickolay Lamm who hopes his creation can be a game-changer in the toy market. "Most fashion dolls on the market are dressed like princesses or wear funky outfits," he told the Huffington Post. "I wanted Lammily to wear clothes that Gap or J. Crew might design. There’s no reason why simple everyday clothes design can’t be transferred to doll clothes."

Thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign Lamm’s 3D printed prototype could soon be a reality. Despite being one of the most popular toys in history, Barbie has been criticised by many for promoting an unhealthy body image to young girls. If scaled up to average height a regular Barbie would have a 50 cm waist – Lamm hopes to change that. "She isn’t just a doll with typical body proportions, she’s a fun doll which just happens to have typical body proportions," he added. "And everything from the packaging, to future ad campaigns, to future online interactive worlds, will be designed to appeal to kids."

Barbie-baba kívül-belül??? https://www.5percangol.hu/news_of_the_world/barbie-baba-kivuel-beluel/ Fri, 21 Feb 2014 11:52:51 +0000 https://cmsteszt.5percangol.hu/barbie-baba-kivuel-beluel/

Barbie-obsessed woman having hypnotherapy to become BRAINLESS

Blondie Bennett, 38, is seeing a therapist every week to make her more easily confused and vacant. Blondie, who changed her name a year and a half ago, said: “I’ve had 20 sessions and I’m already starting to feel ditzy and confused all the time. Recently I went to pick a friend up at the airport and couldn’t remember if I needed to go to departures or arrivals. I also got lost for three hours driving to my mum’s house – the house where I grew up.” She added: "I want people to see me as a plastic sex doll and being brainless is a big part of that.”

Blondie, of California, has also spent £25K on five boob jobs taking her to a whopping 32JJ. And she regularly has spray tans, Botox and lip fillers to give her a more artificial appearance. But to make the transformation into the plastic toy complete, she is training herself to become more stupid.  The former size 0 model said: "When people ask why I want to be Barbie I think ‘who wouldn’t want to be?’ She has the best life. All she does is shop and make herself look pretty – she doesn’t worry about anything.”

Blondie says her obsession with Barbie began at a young age when she played with the children’s favourite. In her teens she dressed like Barbie, bleached her hair and even drove a Corvette like her hero. Then at age 18 she took on promotional jobs at toy stores pretending to be Barbie. Blondie said: "People thought it was just a phase but I thought to myself as soon as I move out of home I’m going to turn myself into Barbie. My friends hated the attention I got from guys because of how I dressed. They told me to tone it down when I went out with them. I was forced to live a double life until about eight years ago when I decided to become Barbie for real and ignore what other people said."
