Tech guru predicts humans will learn new languages by swallowing a pill within 30 YEARS

Pills will replace eyes in the future as the main provider of new information to our brains, it has been predicted. Famed futurist Nicholas Negroponte says ingesting pills into the bloodstream will be the best way of learning in the future. And it could happen within the next 30 years, says the founder of MIT Media Lab.

"You’re going to swallow a pill and know English. You’re going to swallow a pill and know Shakespeare," he told the audience. "And the way to do it is through the bloodstream. So once it’s in your bloodstream, it basically goes through and gets into the brain…and the different pieces get deposited in the right places."

Mr Negroponte has been providing useful insights into the future for the last 30 years, predicting everything from changes in video and television to the development of wireless and digital technology. His latest talk celebrated many of his previous predictions, which seemed ridiculous at the time but were spot on.
