Coming Home for Christmas

Heathrow airport has joined the battle of the Christmas adverts with a poignant clip featuring two teddy bears returning home. While John Lewis had Buster the Boxer and Marks and Spencer had Mrs Claus, the London airport celebrated ‘the best gift of all’ in its tearjerker advert – coming home for Christmas.

Throughout their 70 years, Heathrow have specialised in reconnecting people with their loved ones, especially at this time of year, because coming home for Christmas is the best gift of all.

The ad, set to a classic Chas and Dave soundtrack, follows two much-loved and ageing teddy bears as they land at the airport and captures the moments loved ones are reunited at the arrivals gate.

Heathrow’s Commercial Director Jonathan Coen said: “Christmas is my favourite time of year at Heathrow – the airport is abuzz with families and friends reuniting for this special time of year.

“We love the film and hope the bears’ journey through the airport captures that excitement you feel when walking through Heathrow arrivals into the arms of your loved ones at Christmas.”

The Christmas advert has been a hit on Twitter, with one fan tweeting: “The best Christmas ad so far.”
