Artist Carves Eggshells to Create Masterpieces

A Vietnamese artist, who goes by the name of Ben Tre, takes standard eggshells and turns them into something magnificent. 

Take a peek at your surroundings – there is always something that can be used as a canvas for your masterpiece.

A Vietnamese artist turns standard eggshells into something magnificent. Using a very small dentist’s drill, he carves beautiful, detailed inscriptions and artworks on the shells.

He then utilizes LED lights to highlight his carved creations. The end result is a stunning, miniature lamp.

Although Ben does not actually work as a dentist, he claimed that he acquired the tiny tool from a friend.  Many of the intricate works take approximately a full day to complete.

Some of Ben’s works aren’t in one piece, as the shells are delicate and can easily break.

Amazingly, even the broken, carved eggshells look beautiful. The jagged cuts and scattered pieces seem to enhance the artwork. The artist’s goal is not only to create a visually appealing work of art, but he also strives to test his own willpower during the painstaking, tedious crafting methods.
