Formal or polite
Good morning works with your boss, clients, teachers, or in shops. In meetings, try Good morning, everyone!

Casual and friendly
Most people just say Morning! to colleagues, neighbours, and friends. Add a question to keep the chat going:

• How’s your morning going?- Hogy megy a reggeled?
• Did you sleep well? – Jól aludtál?
• Ready for the day? – Készen állsz a mai napra?

Rise and shine! is a cheerful way to wake someone up.

Erre is figyelj!

• Watch the clock. “Good morning” stops at about 12:00. After that, switch to Good afternoon or a simple Hi!
• Don’t use it to say goodbye. When you leave a shop or café in the morning, say Have a nice day!
• Skip “Good day.” It sounds old-fashioned, unless you’re in Australia, where people say G’day, mate!
