But Zoe the Dalmatian must have thought she had got a puppy when a lamb with similar markings gambolled into her life. With his black and white spotty coat it is little surprise that this lamb is having something of an identity crisis – thinking he is a Dalmatian dog.The black and white youngster has been born at a dog breeder‘s in South Australia’s Barossa Valley. The adorable youngster has now been adopted by the dog after being abandoned by its mother, much to owner and Dalmatian breeder Julie Bolton’s amusement. Ms Bolton said she laughed when the lamb was born. „It is truly spotted,’” she said. „Black spots on a white-based coat which is the same as a Dalmatian.” Zoe the dog was quick to show the abandoned lamb love and affection – licking her adoptive son affectionately and generally taking care of him.
