Man, 26, arrested after dressing as ‘Grim Reaper’ and climbing onto hospital roof with long scythe to stare at patients

A 26-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after climbing onto a hospital roof to stare at staff and visitors while dressed in a “Grim Reaper” outfit.

Cops and firefighters were called after the man dressed head to toe in the eerie black hooded outfit was seen standing still overlooking the hospital entrance in St Asaph, Denbighshire.

Hospital visitors were shocked at the rooftop show by the mystery figure at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital in Wales, on Saturday.

Leon Gillespie was also seen brandishing what appeared to be long blade or “scythe”.

Shocked bystanders watched on as the bizarre scene unfolded in broad daylight.

Four police cars and a fire service vehicle were seen at the hospital during the 50-minute long incident.

Gillespie, of Deganwy, pleaded guilty to the offence, and was handed a £200 fine by Llandudno magistrates.

No reason was given for his behaviour although his outfit was also described as being a “crow.
