  1. It’s a tool with a heavy metal head. You can hit nails with it.
  2. It’s a long thin piece of plastic or metal with centimetres marked on it. You can measure how long things are with it.
  3. It’s a garden tool with a long handle and a row of metal teeth. You can collect leaves or make the earth smooth with it.
  4. You can turn screws with it.
  5. It’s a small, thin piece of metal. You can fix two things together (e.g. 2 pieces of wood). You can turn it with a screwdriver.
  6. It’s a small thin piece of metal. You can hold pieces of wood together or hang up pictures with a it.
  7. It’is a tool or machine. You can make holes in anything with it.
  8. You can cut wood with a it. It’s got a blade with sharp teeth on it and a handle.
  9. It’s a gardentool. You can cut the grass with it.
  10. If you want to paint your room, you need a bucket of paint and this tool. You can paint with it.
  11. It’s a garden tool, too. You can dig a hole in the garden with it.
  12. It’s a tube-shaped tool. If you want to paint the walls of your room you can use it and a tray where you put the paint.
  13. It’s a farm tool. It looks like a fork with a long handle. You can lift and move dried grass with it.
  14. This tool has got two pieces of metal with handles. You can hold things firmly with it but you can also cut wires with it.
  15. It’s a metal tool. With it you can turn small metal rings (nuts) and pins (bolts) that hold things together.

If there is a problem with a machine or anything else you use, e.g. TV, light, dishwasher, etc., we often use this expressions:

There’s something wrong with the radio.   Valami gond van a rádióval.
The flashlight’s not working.   Az elemlámpa nem m?ködik.
The shower’s not working properly.   A zuhany nem m?ködik rendesen.
The lift is out of order.   A lift üzemen kívül van.
